It is Shahrukh Khan. What else could be expected from his films other than multiple record breakings? Late director Yash Chopra would have been proud to see his student flourish in his business. ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ is not only one of the legendary director’s last films but also probably his best ones as well. It just so happened that on the very first day of opening in Pakistan, the film successfully earned 4 million rupees.
This could not at all have been possible if Chairman of IMGC Global Entertainment Amjad Rasheed had not met Aditya Chopra to assure him that the film has no anti-Pakistani motives. It should be recalled that the film had chances of being banned in the country as Shahrukh Khan was portraying as an Indian Army officer.
The premiere of the film in Pakistan was met with gigantic success and it is safe to say that it was expected as an impressive amount of 9000 seats were already booked in advance. Yash Chopra is not here to see the much appreciation of his masterpiece in a country in which he does not reside, he would have indeed been proud.
