Hamza Ali Abbasi Announces His Next Project

Debuting in Bilal Lashari’s War on Terror based film, Waar, director and actor Hamza Ali Abbasi has managed to establish a reputation of being one of the most unique icons in the Pakistani film industry. He recently got done with ‘Mud house and the Golden Doll’ and has announced his intentions of coming up with a comedy film titled ‘Kambakht’.

Hamza Ali Abbasi credits Bilal Lashari for being an inspiration to him from a film point of view as he states, “The good thing about Bilal is that he is a new and very well-groomed director. He is actually more of a friend and has taught me a lot about film-making.”

“With time, you tend to know what you’re good at, and I realized my forte is comedy films,” states Hamza regarding his upcoming comedy film. “That’s what I feel comfortable doing. I wouldn’t mind something intense and dramatic but what film-makers need to do is make it entertaining. It should be for the masses.”

Written by Abbasi himself and starring Shafqat Cheema (Bol’s lovable bad guy, Saqa Kanjar) and Ahsan Khan, the ambitious film-maker aims to use the talents in the right way and highlight their connection with the characters and the audience.
