Farhan Akhtar Might ‘Run’ in Pakistan for His New Film

Movie viewers and fans of Farhan Akhtar can get to see him have a run in Pakistan if all things work out formally between the two countries’ visa policies. Farhan Akhtar is playing the role of Milkha Singh, the real-life Indian athlete in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Rakeysh wants to specially shoot in Pakistan to be authentic to the script of the movie. He wants to take his production to the district of Muzaffargarh near Multan, the birth place of the legendary athlete.

Rakeysh said that:

“We are keen to shoot on the borders of Pakistan to add more authenticity to the film since Milkha was born in one of the villages there. We will be applying for permissions soon.”

But Rakesh does have a safety net to fall on even if what he wants does not happen. He can still shoot in India and get away calling it Pakistan, since part of both the countries are alike. The production team that has done the research on areas near the border has suggested the same due to similar topography of both the states. However, the film now is under production and with the time constrains, this is the option mostly likely to be availed.

Farhan on the other hand is meanwhile busy being prepared for getting into the character by growing a long beard and going on a treadmill to keep fit. The film will also star Sonam Kapoor.
