The leading protagonist of David Dhawan’s version of Chashme Buddoor, Ali Zafar, recently met veteran actor Farooque Sheikh, who had acted in the original movie in 1981.
He met Farooque at a suburban hotel here along with Dhawan, and sipping some coffee while discussing about the film’s music launch.
“Farooque Sheikh appraised Ali Zafar’s talent and appreciated Dhawan choice for giving him the lead character. He not only expressed his pleasure on hearing that Ali has reprised his role from the film, but also gave him his good wishes and blessings,” the source added.
In talking to media Ali expressed, “I have wanted to get his blessings since a long time. Fortunately on my last day before I flew out to London, while all of us (cast and Viacom team ) were celebrating the feedback we were getting on the promo and songs we heard that Farooque Sheikh Sahab is in the lobby of the same hotel. I requested to meet up to which he said would be a pleasure. So we all went down to meet him and he was so nice to all of us. He also said that he would be looking forward to the film”.
HKC is releasing Chashme Buddor in Pakistan while the PR of the movie is handled by Encyclomedia PR.
