Youtube famed Pakistani fish seller in London, Mohammad Shahid Nazir has got a record deal with Warner Music, reported UK newspaper Sun.
“Come on ladies, come on ladies, have-a, have-a look, one pound fish. Very very good, very very cheap, one pound fish” the song that has got a catchy tone is introduced as “could be new ‘Gangnam Style’ ” by Sun Newspaper.
Nazir got recognized when his song One Pound Fish got 3.6 million views on YouTube. A British star Alesha Dixon and US boy band Mindless Behaviour have recorded their version of the song.
Nazir, aged 31, left his wife and four children in Pakistan and came to Britain. He works at Queen’s Market, London as a fish seller.
On his first day at the business, he was asked by his boss to shout in order to get attention of the customers at the shop. He said he did not like shouting, and so made up a song.
He seems to be a very confident guy, believes that this attention is not unusual, “People have come from Australia, the US, Canada and all over Europe. They don’t come here to work or shop, they come for One Pound Fish Man,” he told.
