Ali Zafar Expressed Pride in Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Showed Confidence in His New Film Chashme Buddoor

Ali Zafar who is in India due to the promotions and release of his new film London, Paris, New York, expressed his excitement about a woman getting Pakistan’s first Oscar. He said to an Indian newspaper while at the Lavasa Women’s Drive awards that:

“We are very proud of the fact that a woman has got the first Oscar for Pakistan. Sharmeen got the first Oscar and I have personally had the pleasure of meeting her in the past and what a great achievement for all of us.”

Regarding his other movie project Chashme Buddoor Ali was confident. It stars Rishi Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Sonu Niigaam and it is actually a remake of the original successful film of the same name by Sai Paranjpye made in 1981. Ali said:

Chashme Buddoor is a fun-filled film and the way David Dhawan has shot the film is great. We were watching some scenes and songs of the film and after that we could not stop laughing. We are very confident of the film.”
