Controversy’s favorite Pakistani is back with a bang and this time, it is in a Bollywood flick. The Queen of Controversy Veena Malik’s first ever Indian film Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai has hit cinemas and is getting quite a good impression so far. This is not the first time a Bollywood film has included Malik in it as she made her debut by her sensational performance in the item song “Channo” for the film, Gali Gali Chor Hai. Ever since then, the road to Bollywood stardom got much easier for the model-turned-actress.
During a recent interview with a News Agency, Malik has enthusiastically stated how pleasant was the experience working closely with big names of Bollywood. “I have worked with big names, just look at the cast of Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai – but I am not someone who would stand in someone’s shadow,” said the Pakistani model. The film co-stars Jackie Shroff, Shakti Kapoor, Vijay Raaj, Raja Chaudhry, Aanand Balraj and Pakistani comedians Irfan Malik and Hassan Ali.
In the film, Malik uniquely plays a double role: an ambitious starlet and a beautiful angel. Playing a double role is not a big deal for her as she explained that, “Playing a double role on screen is new for me. But in my personal life I actually play the role of two girls – one is Zahida Malik [real name] and the other is Veena Malik. I am sure if I can play a double role in real life, it will be exciting to play a double role in a movie.” With all the excitement and media focus revolving around the young actress, it looks like that Malik has plans to leave further marks in Bollywood. Currently Veena Malik is busy in shooting of her next film: Dirty Picture 2.
