Finally, a big news for Lollywood fans is coming along the way, as Blockbuster of the past “Armaan” is being remade. It is also revealed that production of the movie has already been started. The news doesn’t ends up here, as the most worthy part of the news is yet to come. The star cast of the movie includes Aamina Sheikh and the super star, Fawad Afzal Khan in the lead role. Fawad Khan will essay the role of Waheed Murad while aamina Sheikh steps into the shoes of Zeba.
Fawad Khan, the rockstar turned actor, first came into spotlight with his much hailed performance in Shoaib Mansoor’s Khuda Ke liye and recently he broke all records of popularity with his Drama serial “Humsafar“.
Almost 47 years after the original release of the movie, the remake is being directed by Anjum Shehzad and is a project of GEO films. For those of you who don’t know Anjum, he is the same person who played the role of Bobby in the famous television program “Family Front”. The movie was released back in 1966, and is still termed as the most successful movie-Lollywood has ever produced.
Now this will be intresting to see Armaan in modern days with the new age sensiblities.
