The young talented Pianist/Guitarist and tapping expert Usman Riaz will be re-doing Junoon’s hit Sufi track “Saeen” for the 20th Anniversary Album of the Band.
Usman, who came on to the music front via popular music show UTH Records, chose the famous track Saeen to pay tribute to the U2 of Asia.
Saeen which is Junoon’s one of the greatest track from their best-selling album “Inquilaab“‘ helped the band in 90’s to further establish their Sufi-Rock style. Now 20 years after the bands formation Usman Riaz is interpreting one of their many signature melodies in his own style.
Salman Ahmad upon hearing Usman’s interpretation said:
“Usman has achieved a beautiful and dark fusion of Sindhi & Moroccan/ North African music laced with haunting playful film noire strings and even a subtle layer of Klezmer music. BRAVO!! he’s a very, very special talent both as a guitar player and an arranger & I’ll be collaborating with him in the near future as well”
