Operation O21, first Pakistani movie to be mixed in Dolby Atmos

It was announced on the facebook page of Operation 021 that it would be the first Pakistani movie ever to be mixed in Dolby Atmos.

In case you are wondering, Bollywood movies including D-Day, Kick and Dhoom 3 have been mixed in Dolby Atmos. It is actually a surround sound technology exclusively created for theatres by Dolby Laboratories. The technology lets the audience have a wholesome experience by creating realistic sound objects.

Operation O21 is one of the most awaited movies of this year and stars Ayub Khoso, Aamina Shaikh, Shamoon Abbasi and Shaan Shahid in lead roles. The movie is set to be released this Eid-Al-Azha.

Azaan Sami Khan, who is the producer of the movie shared a few words about this state of the art technology and said:

“We are proud to have an official license to get our film mixed and released on Dolby Atmos. This is not only a big achievement but a huge leap for Pakistani cinema at large though only a handful of cinemas in Punjab circuit support the Dolby Atmos technology but since we are aiming for a simultaneous International release this would come in very handy in enhancing the audio-visual experience of cinemagoers.”

Operation O21 is based on a story witnessing real events which includes the Nato tanks bombing that took place in Afghanistan few years back.
