Karachi – 5th October, 2013: Releasing under the banner of Mind Works Media, Waar is Pakistan’s highly anticipated movie due to a massive hype it received from its theatrical trailer. Finally, Waar will now be releasing in all major cinemas across Pakistan this Eid-ul-Azha.
With a massive production budget of nearly US$ 2 million, Waar is Pakistan’s biggest budget movie to date. Inspired by true events, the movie has an interesting plotline based on the idea of counter-terrorism which evokes the sense of suspense, terror and action that Pakistanis are all too familiar with, given the current security concerns.
Distributed by ARY Films & Mandviwalla Entertainment, Waar is written and produced by Dr. Hassan Waqas Rana while the very talented Bilal Lashari directed it. The star cast of Waar includes a mix of industry veterans and some newcomers: Superstar Shaan plays the lead role in the movie, while Shamoon Abbasi, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Aisha Khan, Ali Azmat, Misha Shafi Kamaran Lashari and Nadeem Abbas Rana make the rest of the cast of the movie.
