Mera Bhi Koi Ghar Hota: This play revolves around Mariam and Gohar Shah who love each other although they hail from very different backgrounds. Mariam works for Gohar Shah while the latter is a rich feudal with political leanings, and although he is engaged to Sassi who dotes on him he forces Mariam to marry him without the consent of his family. Their only supporter is a mutual friend, Aamir who is also in love with Mariam, but who is a widower with children so does not express his feelings to her. When Rehmat Shah, Gohar’s brother, finds out about the marriage he forces him to divorce her. Aamir brings Mariam to his house in order to take care of her but fate has other things planned for him and her.
