Over the years, the second largest film industry in the world, Bollywood has given a warm welcome to many Pakistani artists for what they are best at which is either starring in a film or composing a song for a soundtrack.
The list of the Pakistani “chosen ones” for Bollywood is indeed a remarkable one as it includes big names such as Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Zafar, Veena Malik, Ali Azmat, Meesha Shafi and now the list may add the infamous name from the Pakistani entertainment industry. The name is indeed a notorious one as it is none other than the guchee goo girl Mathira – tagged in International media as Paris Hilton of Pakistan.
Mathira in Bollywood has high hopes of starring in Neil Nitin Mukesh’s upcoming Bollywood film directed by rookie Prerna Wadhawan. Regarding her experiences of being in the eye of the camera over the years as an advantage of claiming the part, she states, “I’m not a stranger to camera, so I’m very confident and as of now, my chances are 50/50.”
When asked about the possibility of following the footsteps of Drama Queen Veena Malik, she stated, “People should just work on what they are good at. There is a thin line between being vulgar and being sexy.”
