A huge surprise for all the passionate Bollywood fans in Pakistan: Superstar Salman Khan has plans to visit Pakistan and he is not alone. The director of his current film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ Kabir Khan will be accompanying him for his visit in the country.
Due to PEMRA’s (Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority) belief that the Bollywood film aims to disgrace the image of Pakistan’s ISI (Inter-service Intelligence), all the satellite television channels and cable networks were forced to make sure that the film’s promo is not shown. Such acts have convinced both Salman Khan and Kabir Khan to come to the neighboring country and tell their dedicated fans that they have no such intentions. Regarding the trip, director Kabir Khan stated, “neither Salman nor I ever visited Pakistan, so why not? We are willing to do anything that`s required to make Pakistanis believe that our project is not against them. I don’t think the trailer being banned is a big deal. Once the film releases, the truth will be out.”
Whatever the case may be, both Salman Khan and Kabir Khan are confident that once their voices are heard, the Pakistani censor board itself will be convinced that ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ is not anti-Pakistani and will be more than happy to show the movie to the dedicated Bollywood fans in Pakistan.
