Pakistani-American Hollywood actor Faran Tahir will be starring in the upcoming seventh season of popular award-winning American TV series Hawaii Five-0 which will be airing in September’16. Faran will be joining the star cast in Hawaii where the shooting will commence mid-July.

Hawaii Five-0 is a reboot of the original series which also aired on CBS back from 1968 to 1980. The series follows to story of Detective Steve McGarrett, a decorated Naval officer-turned-cop, who returns to Oahu to investigate his father’s murder and stays after Hawaii’s Governor persuades him to head up a new team on his own terms. Peter Lenkov, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are executive producers for CBS Television Studios. The series has been received well by the audiences and critics globally since the first season went on-air. The show has won a number of awards including the Favorite New Drama at the People’s Choice Awards, USA.

Faran, who has just returned after wrapping up the shoot of the upcoming fifth season of Prison Break (mini-series) said “The last 3 months have been fun location wise for me as an actor as I have been shooting for upcoming Prison Break in Vancouver and then Morocco and now will be heading out to beautiful Hawaii for the show Hawaii Five-0″.
