Being Rahat and Sahira Kazmi’s son, he had no choice but to be immensely talented, we are certainly talking about the brilliant Ali Kazmi. Wowing us away with his comeback into the Pakistani media industry with Mehreen Jabbar’s critically acclaimed serial, Jackson Heights; he has been incredibly wanted amongst filmmakers and his fans.

After several short films, feature films and series’ in Canada and the United States over the past couple of years as he moved from Pakistan, Ali has grabbed the right kind of path to walk on and has his foot in both the parts of the world. With his recent release being a film by the iconic Deepa Mehta. There’s much more to come for this young lad!

With several exciting ventures under Kazmi’s credit, he has recently signed a film which will not only be a huge milestone for Ali but he will surely make Pakistan proud of him. The mesmerising star couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are working on an animated feature film based on a novel by Deborah Ellis, called The Breadwinner. The novel revolves around an eleven year old girl, Parvana, who is forced to be the breadwinner for her family in a war-torn Taliban-era in Afghanistan. And guess what?! Kazmi will be doing the voiceover for one of the characters, he’ll be rubbing shoulders with the best of the best of Hollywood and hopefully become a true ambassador to Pakistan!

With previous Pakistani superstars such as Adnan Siddiqui, Sajid Hasan, Aly Khan and Faran Tahir making us proud with quality films overseas, we are sure that Ali will add something great to his résumé and show the world how talented, professional and amazing Pakistanis can be. He is currently shooting Mehreen Jabbar’s film, Dobara Phir Se which will be full of contemporary and modern ideas. Starring Adeel Hussain, Atiqa Odho, Tooba Siddiqui, Hareem Farooq, Sanam Saeed, Shaz Khan and the megastar, Ali Kazmi! There’s lots to come for Ali Kazmi, we wish him nothing but all the luck.
