In 1985, ‘Tanhaiyan’ was quite a popular show in Pakistan in its own right with a good plot and worth a while. Time has changed and now, after almost eighteen long years, the sequel for the show has started to air titled ‘Tanhaiyan Naye Silsilay.’
Directed by Shahzad Khalil and written by Haseena Moin, the show cannot do no wrong and with a talented cast such as Marina Khan, Qazi Wajid, Shehnaz Shaikh, Badar Khalil and Behroze Sabzwari, the show has well managed to give the audience of love and sorrow enwrapped around the sheet of entertainment.
Following the death of Zara in the original 1985 drama serial, the story starts with the life and struggles of her sister Saniya and her daughters Zeenya and Serena. The plot is an interesting one as it signifies many of the family and pre-marital problems when unfortunate circumstances forces the common man to face situations beyond control.
It is remarkable to note that the role of the two sisters Saniya and Zara is portrayed by real-life sisters Alishba and Syra Yousuf. With the show touching hot topics such as trust and marriage, the attentions of much television slaves have been captured; making it one of the most unique shows on ARY Digital.
