Qayaas Won Five Awards At IndieGo Music Awards.

Qayaas, the first progressive alternative rock band of Pakistan has won the most awards at South Asian IndieGo Music Awards last night. IndieGo Music Awards was presented by Bite My Music Global Awards.

Qayaas Band has won five awards last night in IndieGo Music Awards where nominated bands of five South Asian Countries were taking part. The awards included three Gold, Best Rock Band, Best Rock Vocalist for Umair Jaswal and Best Rock Song for Shehrezade and two Silver Most Mind Blowing Video for Pukaar and Best Freaking Act in Universe by their Peers.

The criteria of the songs and acts of the The IndieGo Music Awards was based on originality, creativity and overall song entertainment value. 30% of the scores came from online voting, 60% from global judges and 10% for marketing and promotions.

Bite My Music are the world’s biggest independent music awards from the same team that brought AVIMA (Asia Voice Independent Music Awards). This time there were 3 sub-awards for last year – The IndieGo Music awards for south Asia countries, VIMA 2011 (Singapore, Malaysia & Brunei) and also the Global African Asian music awards (GAMA). Top winners of these awards will now enter the main Bite My Music global awards to compete with the rest of the Asian countries and wildcard entries from Europe and US.
