He is undoubtedly the Prince of Pop, he is the Pakistani sensation, and he is none other than Ali Zafar. He has the looks, the style, the voice, and a charming personality that makes him a complete superstar. He has released popular albums such as Huqa Pani, Masty, and Jhoom. And as of yet, Ali Zafar has sold more than seven million copies worldwide.
Ali Zafar was born to two professors at the Punjab University on 18th of May 1980. After topping in his matriculation exams from Beaconhouse School Systems, he entered the Government College of Lahore, before graduating from the National College of Arts as a painter. He then worked as a model for several commercial advertisements, before acting in some television serials. But however, Ali Zafar came into the limelight when he was seen in the music video of Preeto sung by Abrar-ul-Haq.
After achieving early success, Ali Zafar made his debut as a musician with Huqa Pani – which was an instant hit – followed by two more albums, Masty and Jhoom. But however, he surprised everyone, showing complete versatility, when he sung beautiful folk and Sufi renditions in the Coke Studio sessions. Zafar was then offered to act in a Bollywood movie called Tere Bin Laden, which was also a success, both commercially and critically. After his first stint at Bollywood, he will be seen in another Bollywood movie, this time it’s called Mere Brother Ki Dulhan alongside Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan.
