“Ehd-e-Wafa”, a telefilm based on real life story of two young martyrs, Lt. Atif Qayum and Lt. Zeeshan Khan will be aired this Friday on PTV Home at 7:40pm.
The story, “Ehd-e-Wafa” is part of the currently airing drama series “Faseel-e-Jaan Se Aagay” that is based on real accounts of people who have sacrificed their lives for Pakistan and have shown exemplary resilience in the face of terrorism during 2009.
“Ehd-e-Wafa” is a strange true story of two childhood friends Lt. Atif Qayyum and Lt. Zeeshan Khan who both embraced Shahadat during Operation Rah-e-Raast in Swat and South Waziristan respectively in 2009. They enjoyed their life as friends and even death could not do them apart.
This thrilling and action packed telefilm is written by renowned writer Zafar Meraj and directed by a young and talented director Amir Yousaf. Prominent cast includes Nirvaan Nadeem, Capt. Imran Khan, Firdous Jamal and Masood Akhtar.
Drama series ‘Faseel-e-Jaan Se Aagay’ is a humble endeavour to pay homage to the courageous people of Pakistan and its armed forces whose resilience and sacrifices have turned the tide of extremism and militancy in most of the troubled areas of Pakistan.
“Ehd-e-Wafa” is sixth and last telefilm of Season 1 of the drama series “Faseel-e-Jaan Se Aagay”. ‘Matti Ka Qarz’, ‘Meraj’, ‘Inkaar’, ‘Ada-e-Sarfaroshi’ and ‘Eik Beti – Eik Kahani’, the first five telefilms of this series have already been telecast and have received tremendous response from the audience. Season 2 of this series containing another bunch of thrilling true stories will be aired after the Cricket World Cup 2011.
