About Moen Jo Daro Band :
Moen Jo Daro is a band which formed in late 2007 in Lahore, when they recorded their first track, Khaufzada with Omar Hussain. After that, the band has been consistently performing in the underground circuit in Lahore and has made appearances at mainstream music events, including television and radio shows and of course, performances with various mainstream artists including Atif Aslam, Noori, Call, Roxen, e.t.c
The band includes members Usman Bin Sohail on Lead guitars who composes, arranges, produces and writes all songs as well.
Harris Wahid on Bass guitars who has been with the band since 2008.
Ahsan Cheema on Drums who joined the band in 2009. He has been playing session drums for many artists in the underground circuit.
and the latest addition to the band, Sarmad Hussain on Vocals.
The band’s music falls under the unique genre of Alternative Progressive. The songs in the album include a variety of instruments used. Garmi On! demonstrates that by utilizing Tanpura, Sitars and Bells which usually arent part of the general contemporary music. Whereas, the lyrical content focuses on societal issues as the rest of the songs suggest. The band is currently recording, their first album at Scape Studios with Junaid Syed of The Rising.
