As reported earlier today, Rohail Hyatt steps down as Coke Studio producer, the news has become the talk of the music circles while fans are saddened to know about this shocking development.
However, accepting the decision of Hyatt, Coca Cola Pakistan has released an official statement regarding it.

“As Rohail Hyatt has decided to explore new avenues of life and music, we regretfully accept this decision and thank him for his tireless contribution towards the success of Coke Studio.
He has been a passionate producer and a visionary, and in Rohail, The Coca-Cola Export Corporation has always had the pleasure of working with a talented professional. It is in collaboration with Rohail Hyatt and his team that Coke Studio evolved from its more humble beginnings with the First Season to now being heralded as the most positive music platform in Pakistan, reaching a record number of social media hits including over 100 million views on YouTube alone and almost three million fans on Facebook. We at Coca-Cola Pakistan are extremely proud of the fact that Coke Studio, spearheaded by Pakistan, has now gone global as one of Pakistan’s most significant cultural exports of the decade with the success of Coke Studio Pakistan resulting in India, South Africa and Middle East introducing and adapting this platform for their local audiences and we thank Mr. Hyatt for his passion, vision and dedication for making this happen.
During the course of its six year tenure Coke Studio has featured over 80 songs, performed by a ground breaking combination of almost 100 different musicians and instrumentalists in over 15 unique languages. The platform has consistently and deliberately focused on messages celebrating harmony and peace, embracing and espousing the music of equality, diversity and unity and we look forward to many more seasons of the same messages in a constantly evolving format.
