About Umair Shahzad:
Umar Shahzad was born on April 20th 1984, in Karachi, the son of a musician and a housewife. From an early age of 4, he showed great musical talent, learning to sing. At the age of 5, His father use to teach him the basics of music by letting him listen to the recordings of Mehdi Hassan, Ustad Amanat Ali, Ustad Salamat Ali & respected Tufail Niazi. As he was the student and of Late. Sir Nisar Bazmi, The great music composer of Pakistani Music Industry.

Form the age of 7, he started to perform as a child artist on Pakistan Television (PTV) for the famous PTV producers including Shaheen Ansari & Fahmeeda Nasreen and composer respected Javed Meer. Umair has performed with many famous artists of Pakistan in the childhood age including Late Shafeeq-ur-Rehman, Muni Begum, Tahseen Javed, Alam Geer, Sheki etc.

For some years after the age of 16 actually he started his career as a Graphic Designer.

In 2005, he joined the National Academy of Performing Arts, for Music Graduation, under the guidance of Ustad Salamat Ali, Ustad Nafees Ahmed Khan, Ustad Bashir Khan and Arshad Mehmood.
His musical education is mainly divided into two sections of expertise, one is Eastern Classical Vocals i.e. Raag Dari Sangeet by Maestro Salamat Ali– and the other is Rhythm i.e. Laya Kari by unbeatable Ustad Nafees Ahmed Khan.
He is very much inspired by the singing style of Ustad Amir Khan & Mehdi Hassan. His first classical lesson when he actually decided to sing classical music was the Tarana in Raga Hansdhun by Ustad Amir Khan. In the recent times he follows Ustad Mubarak Ali khan as a distance teacher.

On the composition side, his inspiration from Pakistan is late. Sir Nisar Bazmi & respected Sohail Rana. As he is blessed that he learn 3 years from Late. Sir Nisar Bazmi. From Indian composers history he is found of Sir Naushad, S.D Burman & O.P Nayyar.
