Ghag The Band, known for their remarkable fusion of both eastern and western music sounds has now launched its third track titled Khaist. The band defines its aptitude with the perfect blend between traditional and some modern sounds along with the coalition of classical Pashto poetry. The band made its debut in 2011 with Mehfil, which was followed by a second track titled as Lewantob.
Khalid Afridi, the vocalist and and the lead guitarist of the band revealed the thoughts behind the song,”We are back with our second music video. The song Khaist, which means beauty, happens to be a soul searching journey that questions the existence of beauty as it is bound to vanish one day.”
The band also featured Zohaib Yousafzai as a lead vocalist, He said,” We derive inspiration from the poetic works of one of the greatest architects of Pashto language and literature — Ghani Khan baba.”
Khalid Afridi also talked about band’s future plan and said that their upcoming single will take a turn towards the electronic rock genre as they don’t want to be hackneyed with that specific type of music nor do they want their music to grow prosaic to their ever-growing audiences.”We thought we should experiment with something different — something that appeals to the youth but at the same time makes a connection between the older and the present generation,” Khalid continues.
