Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi is nothing short of a legend in the Pakistani music industry and has the proof of the “Pride of Performance Award” which was awarded to him by the Government of Pakistan in 1991. The singer is not only a much appreciated one in Pakistan but also in India. In his prestigious career of more than four long decades, the singer is about to do something which he believes should have been done a long time ago: perform in India.

Majority of his career has been a part of Pakistan; performing on GEO, ARY, Aaj TV, PTV, DM Digital etc but next month, Attaullah Khan is going to perform in his first ever Indian concert. The singer has a vast popularity in the neighboring country and it should be recalled that his lyrics were used in the Bollywood flick, Gulshan Kumar’s Bewafa Sanam. Attaullah once mentioned to PTI, “I always wanted to perform in India but never got the chance. I know that I have a decent fan following across the border. It is very unfortunate that I could never perform in India until now.”

Having released over 400 albums and quite frankly accomplishing everything to be known as a legend, let’s hope he proves to India once again why Pakistan is dominant in the music industry.
