The World’s most popular desi music sharing site, Songs.Pk may soon get blocked in India, news agencies reported.
According to various reports from Indian News Agencies, the Pirated music website Songs.PK will soon be banned in India. Three industry bodies, including one music company, have filed a case in Calcutta High court to ban the music sharing website. The bodies are asking for a legal restraint on 11 ISPs to block the music website Songs.Pk
Songs.Pk which is popular worldwide for uploading free bollywood songs, is now seriously hurting the music business. The site serves millions of pages and free downloads to users and is ranked 889 in World ranking of websites. The site is also among top 100 websites of India and Pakistan, according to Alexa
It is also worth mentioning here that Songs.PK used to put Pakistani Albums for download on its site. After Fire Records took a major crack down on local sites, the site had started complying with the Record Label. Keeping the consequences in mind, the owner of Songs.pk had left Pakistan and later shifted to some European country. As per our information, the owner of music website belongs to some area of Punjab, Pakistan. The site earns millions of Rupees just from various third party ad networks.
