Asia’s loudest band Overload is set to perform six shows throughout the city of Austin, in Texas U.S.A in March 2016. The band has been invited because of their unique sound and super charged live shows which have created a stir with the world audience since 2003.
South By South West (SXSW) is the world’s largest festival of music, film and exhibitions, held in Austin Texas. In the past SXSW events, world renown artists and film makers like, Quentin Tarantino and Adrian Brody have done talk sessions with concerts by the likes of 50 Cent, Johnny Cash, Black Eyed Peas, Depeche Mode, Green Day, James Brown, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Metallica.
Talking about Overload’s first appearance in the U.S, frontman Farhad Humayun said: “It is indeed very exciting and I think America has no idea what a big storm we are bringing with us! We’ll be mixing our songs with Electronic Dance Music, Metal and Traditional Pakistani Rhythms and all of us in the group are ready to spill our guts out and totally rock the party. We are and always have been a Pakistani band and are going to show the world what the sound of modern Pakistan is all about!”
Overload’s lineup for SXSW boasts the two original members, including frontman Farhad Humayun on Vocals & Drums and Nasir Sain on Dhol accompanied by Manchester based, former Stone Roses and Simply Red guitarist, Aziz Ibrahim, Hassan Omar as second guitarist and DJ and Kala Sain on rhythm Dhol.
