Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Won Big At Asian Music Awards
Pakistan Classical Singing icon, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has made up his mind to leave a deep mark across the borders. The news is like, Rahat has now bagged three awards at Lebara Asian Music awards ceremony held in London this month.
Khan was the biggest winner of the evening, the categories in which the classical turned modern singer won were, ‘Best-Selling Download’, ‘Best International Act’ and ‘Best International Act of the Decade’. His song “Teri Meri” from Salman khan’s blockbuster movie Bodyguard, was named the Best-Selling Download.
Started his singing career along side of his legendary uncle, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Rahat gave his first public performance at the age of eleven, when he toured the UK with his uncle in 1985, and performed solo songs in addition to singing with the Qawwali party.
