Zoe Viccaji Jo Chaho (Audio/Video Review)

After getting herself known in the entertainment and media section of Pakistan whilst working as a background vocalist for Coke Studio, Zoe Viccaji teamed up with String’s Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood to revitalize one of their popular hit track called “Mera Bichra Yaar”.

Soon after, almost a year later, Zoe Viccaji is back with Jo Chaho – a song sponsored by Wateen Telecommunications for their brand promotion.

The music of the song has been composed by the great Shahi Hasan who was the co-founder of the famous Pakistani band Vital Signs along with Rohail Hyatt; in which the legendary Junaid Jamshed played a part of the vocalist. The man has also worked with artistes like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Atif Aslam, Ali Azmat, and many more.

“Jo Chaho” starts off in a peaceful manner, followed by the awe-inspiring and mesmerizing vocals of Zoe Viccaji; which, in process, take you to a beautiful daydream. As for the pace, it is rather slow but that in fact suits to the theme, mood, and rhythm of the song.

Rizwan Ahmad Malik, who is the music video director of this song, strikes hard with a plus point as he matches up perfectly with the brilliant work of Zoe and Shahi in the audio department. More on, the idea of hanging more than 20 guitars on a tree – and the way it’s implemented – worked thoroughly. That sequence… that entire sequence was incredible. I don’t really remember any video director coming up with something like this – something fresh – recently.

According to me, the trio of “Jo Chaho” – Shahi the music director, Rizwan the video director, and Zoe the vocalist – has done wonders; they should at least come back with one more song for the fans.

Although the playtime or the length of the song didn’t do justice to it (as I believe it could’ve been a bit longer), it doesn’t restrain it from the fact that “Jo Chaho” is a wonderful mixture of lyrically strong and vocally melodious track that is worth listening forward to.
