Mommar Rana makes a comeback with Sikander!

Who says the veteran filmi actors are stuck in the time of ‘gandassa’ genre, with time we have not only produced a solid and talented new blood, but have evolved as well. Be it Shaan Shahid or Humayun Saeed, Noor or Resham; they all have adapted the new style of films and advanced techniques. Guess who just joined the gang – the Chooriyaan fame superstar Mommar Rana, who recently made headlines with his directional debut Sikander, which is surely something to anticipate for!

Revolving around the unemployment issues of Pakistan; Rana’s venture will star himself, the legendary film-star, Nadeem, the renowned television actor, Farhan Aly Agha and the emerging model-turned-actress, Haya Sehgal. As far as rumour has it, the highly celebrated ex-cricketers, Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhter will be seen in cameo appearances as well; whereas the highly controversial, Mathira might be seen in the film too!

“I just wanted to direct a film! It was always my dream. And because mostly commercial and terrorism oriented genres were being experimented, I wanted to do something for the people who made me whoever I am today. We don’t have any ideal ‘hero‘ and I think Sikander will be one.” said Mommar Rana about how he landed himself with the project.

The superstar further revealed that the cameras will stop rolling at the end of March or beginning of April. And is slated for a post Eid-Ul-Azha release (latter this year). With the recent teaser making waves all over, Mommar Rana seemed overwhelmed with the response that he has received, and it is undoubtedly worth all the applause. The teaser would see Rana all charged up with a massive build with abs and those heavy muscles. The Pakistani element is also present, which makes to our lookout for this year! Here we leave you with it;
