‘Jana Nahi’ portrays love and parting; a bitter end to what could have been beautiful and a harmonious union of hearts; a song in the remembrance of love found, love lost; something that turns the fate around, that leaves a trail of memories, some bitter, some sweet, along the path of dreams of yesterday and yonder, where its video represents a girl in pursuit of love. The concept behind the video is derived from the feeling one gets while awakening from a very pleasant dream. For a few seconds, you are disconnected from the harsh realities of life; and then it dawns upon you that it was just a dream.

Born in Karachi and a self-taught artist, Maha started writing songs at the age of 16 following which she graduated in Finance & Macroeconomics/Management from Monash University, Melbourne – Australia. In 2013, Maha was selected as the backup vocalist for Cornetto Music Icon where she performed alongside artists such as Ali Azmat, Strings and Alamgir to name a few.

I never thought I’d ever pull it off however with support from family and friends this was possible.
