BJP Warns Pakistani Writers from Entering India

The continuos escalation of cross border tension between Pakistan and India has resulted in another narrow minded action by the Indian Politicians. Ist India returned Pakistani athletes and artist, and now the Hindu extremist group, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has warned that Pakistani writers should not Jaipur Literature Festival.

BJP Warns Pakistani Writers form Entering India

According to the report, the work of seven Pakistani authors including Jamil Ahmad and Mohammed Hanif are shortlisted for the 2013 Prize for South Asian Literature. Hanif and Jamil had previously attended JLF last year’s event but cross-border conflict, the BJP has decided to oppose the presence of these writers.

BJP’s Yuva Morcha state president Rishi Bansal said,”We will not allow them to enter the festival venue. There is no question of welcoming the Pakistani authors here at a time when their country has disrupted peace at the border.”On the other side, an organiser of JLF quoted,”All sessions would be held as per schedule in the presence of all guest authors.”

Such actions by Indian extremist group are widely criticised by both Pakistani and indians on almost every level. They both agree on a point blank, which says that Politics should be kept away from game and literature.
