From being a band member of Junoon to a solo Rockstar, Ali Azmat is one of those few vocalists of Pakistan that gives his fans a never ending desire of wanting for more. Though his methods are questionable and unconventional sometimes, but definitely get results. Recently, the singer sung two songs for Pooja Bhatt’s erotic thriller Jism2, which gained much attention due to the fact that it starred the Indo-Canadian pronstar, Sunny Leone.
The two songs Ali Azmat sung for the film – ‘Yeh Jism Hai Tau Kiya’ and ‘Maula’ – earned much fame in Bollywood and considering the fact that they were for the soundtrack, the videos indeed featured Sunny Leone. “The songs that are usually running on television are no less than pron clips,” says the singer when questioned about his morality. He further says, “So what if the video features an actual pron star?”
“What my Muslim brothers are already watching on television does not even come close to what you may call sharafat,” says Ali while laughing and adding, “Look at what Veena Malik is doing; look at what other Pakistani heroines are doing and the way their videos are being shot – I don’t think that follows any pattern of morality.” On a further note, Ali Azmat claimed that both Dino Morea and Pooja Bhatt are his friends and since it was a project for them, whatever was done with the videos was not under his control.
