Arif Lohar has stamped his place in Pakistani folk music for years. Now India is also getting a taste of his music. He has been performing in India in different cities and also been offered many singing opportunities too.
Availing one of these, he will be singing his famous song ‘Jugni’ for Vinod Mukhi’s Diary of a Butterfly. About his music being known in different places, Arif said in an interview to Times of India that:
“I have my own distinctive style. I feel that every artist should have their own signature. I feel proud that Pakistani artists have made a mark globally, be it India or abroad and that they have now reached a point where they are recognised the world over.”
